Saturday, Brad and I took a quick trip up to SLC to wander the avenues. The avenues is an area in SLC right near the capital and downtown. The majority of it is a neighborhood, filled with charming old homes with lots of brick and shutters. It was gorgeous out, we even had to take off our jackets at one point. Which seemed a little weird, because there's still so much snow everywhere.
One of our favorite things to do has always been walking around neighborhoods and looking at houses. I don't know what it is. I don't know why it's so entertaining to walk around neighborhoods and talk about things we like and dislike. I don't know... It must be the interior design major inside of me {I was an interior design major when I started college, but changed it along the way}. Sometimes I wish I would have stuck with it, but it's so much more of hobby for me now. I would never want to take the love away from it.
We're trying to fit as much time in together as possible before baseball season takes complete control over our lives. I'm so proud of Brad, and the fact that he is the head baseball coach his first year of teaching. He's a rockstar... But, seriously he is. Getting in time together before the season gets into full swing is so important. Mid February through June is crazy. So, I'm gonna steal this guy every free second he's got. He doesn't mind... Because we do fun things like drive to SLC just to have an excuse to go to Chipotle... the avenues were just an added bonus. The real reason we went to SLC was to go to Chipotle. I mean, c'mon, it's the best.

Molly, you are in trouble. You should have called or text while you are walking my streets. We would have loved to have you come in for a little treat or something. Maybe you didn't know that I live in the Avenues. Jared and I keep talking about having you over to dinner, we need to make a date.
ReplyDeleteYou live in the avenues?! I'm so jealous! We definitely need to do dinner sometime. We were so bummed we couldn't make your Super Bowl party. Let me know when you guys are free, and we will set a date!

ReplyDeletemolly i know exactly what you are going through wanting to fit in time with your coach husband. my husband is a cross country and track coach at a university and i have every weekend filled up between now and when his season officially starts and then i hardly see my husband
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite things is walking around looking at houses. Or driving around looking at houses. Or just watching HGTV looking at houses. :)
ReplyDeleteThe closest Chipotle to my husband and me is 45 minutes away. There have been a number of times that we head south just to eat there. Sure, we will find something else to do too, but the real reason for going is those burrito bowls!
