This cute guy is in vegas this weekend for the the nike coaches clinic. You could say I'm a little bent out of shape since he's gone. Missing him as I stay up late watching chick flicks solo on Valentines Day sounded better than it really was in reality. While he's away, I'm consuming my time with creating lots of new etsy stuff for my shop, hanging out with girlfriends, and deep cleaning. Now that the sun is shining, I'm realizing how dusty our place is. There's a love hate with the sunshine this time of year if you know what I mean. Winter is good for disguising a dirty house. I'm gonna try to be as productive as possible, and sound less pathetic these next few days. Normally when he's gone I'm a lot less of a pity party, I promise I'm not a clingy wife usually. I was actually really excited at the thought of a weekend alone, but now I'm bored without him! That kid. But in all honesty, he deserves this getaway more than anyone else I know. He's been working his sexy buns off, and needs a man-cation. So, I'm gonna enjoy a solo-vacation, with some girl time mixed in there.

My husband and I have yet to spend a weekend apart, but we had to do a night once and it wasn't really my cup of tea sleeping by myself! I hope you're able to fill it and get some rest this weekend girl! xo

i'm going solo this weekend, too, with similar plans (particularly the deep cleaning and girl time). :) jay's headed home to visit family! sad to say goodbye, but happy for him to get some time away. i'll be thinking of you!
ReplyDeleteI went solo the weekend before; husband was leading worship at a Men's Retreat. Lonely as it was, I'm so glad he was able to serve and be fed in the ways that he was! He had a great time.
