Alex and Kelsey came to visit over Labor Day Weekend. We spent a lot of time exploring around different parts of Utah, and I got to show them some of my new favorite spots. It meant so much to me that these girls came out to visit. Moving can be hard, and quite an adjustment. The fact that they took the time to plan a trip to come out and see me... Well, I don't even know what to say. These two have been in my life ever since I can remember. We've always been constant in each others lives.
In the four days they were here, we managed to squeeze a whole lot in. We went to In-N-Out twice, watched Brad coach football, walked around the BYU campus, visited my new work and church, went into Salt Lake City, toured Park City, and watched lots and lots of reality television. I wouldn't have changed a single thing about their visit... Except for maybe adding a few more days to their trip.
{Photos from our Park City trip will be up later this week}

Friends are the dearest.
ReplyDeleteMy dearest friends all live at a great distance from me. When I get to see them I relish the time and try and squeeze the most from it.
I read a quote from the Confessions, by St. Augustine.
"For though they cling together, no friends are true friends unless you, my God, bind them fast to one another through that love which is sown in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, who is given to us."
Book IV, chap. iv.
