my aunt and uncle live on the most amazing piece of property in redlands, california. their house is over 100 years old, and they have done an amazing job maintaining its character. just recently, my sister and i made a trip down to sunny southern california. some of our family lives down in redlands, and we were lucky enough to get to stay with our cousins for a night who live right down the street from my aunt and uncles place. i can remember being so excited to go down and visit. they have the most incredible backyard i have ever seen. the thing that makes their backyard so special is their orange grove. the second you step outside, you can smell all the amazing citrus scents. it's seriously heaven on earth.

The pictures are beautiful and so is the story.
ReplyDeleteYou are right about Redlands it's such a beautiful and clean city to go and visit..My daughter lives there with her hubby not to far from there in an old Victorian home also..I love to go and visit because she takes me out to the nicest and the best resturants there are around anywhere..She has wanted me to move there from Whittier about 1hr.15min.from there but not able too at this time..Thank you so much for sharing the photos..Have a good day..:)
ReplyDeleteDitto Thank you for sharing, The Orange blossom is a magical olfactory scent that will forever be a part of our childhood memories and playing Kick the Can in the local grove down the street... Our Grandparents and mother were local grove ranchers growing up in Redlands, I bring my memories home the minute I!! rip open an orange!
